Monday- worked as a team to shoot our short film to the sound bite we chose, we debated what kind of set up/lighting we should have. we were originally going to have a card bored background but eventually chose a brown sparkly tissue paper with a blue tissue paper to resemble an ocean fitting our sound which has water sounds in it. We then shot the short film in turns and eventually completed it.
Tuesday- Organised and photographed frames
Wednesday- watched some short films made using paper to show what could be made. Watched other groups short films and discussed each others strengths and weaknesses. To improve my own short film I would create a better stand for my paper frames and make them a little smoother as the film I made was quite choppy however overall I am pleased with how it turned out.
Thursday- Sored Myblog stuff and notebook as well as working on the homework for David Mcgowan by watching the short film for group 6 and reading the accompanying pages in the textbook then writing some short paragraphs to describe the film.
Friday- Object/Subject workshop discussing some animated films as a group and studying some artists installations. History of animation lecture 1910’s to 1920’s with the development of merchandising and copyright protections related to animated characters like Felix the cat and the influence of slapstick comedians such as Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd.
